Award-winning Italian restaurant, Massimo, opens sister restaurant at Legacy Place in Dedham

Pawtucket, RI – April 8, 2019 – Award-winning Italian restaurant, Massimo, has opened a sister restaurant at Legacy Place in Dedham, MA. Massimo was named "Best Restaurant in Rhode Island 2018" by RI Monthly Magazine. Rhode Islanders Joseph and Esther DeQuattro have brought the best flavors of Italy to Massachusetts, along with a few of their favorite Ocean State dishes from Massimo's original Federal Hill location in Providence's renowned Italian district.

Along with some Massimo classics, IL Massimo in Dedham will have distinctive dishes exclusive to Legacy Place. Jeff Burgess, executive chef for the Dedham location, has traveled extensively throughout Italy and southern Europe for inspiration and has brought the best flavors of the Mediterranean to New England. The menu includes locally sourced items for a modern taste of Federal Hill. IL Massimo's full bar includes an impressive selection of wines from Italy, Spain and California, as well as beers on tap and cocktails.

JBD JGA Design & Architecture's John Bell, Vice President of Design, and Dansereau Design Studio's Susan Dansereau, envisioned IL Massimo at Legacy Place in Dedham, MA as an upscale, sophisticated, yet relaxed Italian dining experience. IL Massimo sets itself apart from the competition with its unique city-like ambience while being accessible. Situated near the entrance to Legacy Place, it's difficult to miss. JBD JGA Design & Architecture, inspired by the rich textures and patterns of Italian architecture and details, designed a modern space that plays on a classic European café atmosphere that is communal and energetic.

Along with JBD JGA Design & Architecture's Manny Sousa, Mario Hernandez, and Brianna Wilson, the design team took advantage of state-of-the-art materials to give IL Massimo a classically modern appearance that is warm, inviting, and timeless. Textured stone, quartz countertops, cork walls, beautiful millwork, dazzling chandeliers and porcelain marble tile replicating the prominent black and white color schemes of Milan, Tuscany, and Florence, can be found throughout IL Massimo. A feature of Massimo's Providence location, a grand farmer's table, was incorporated into the design giving patrons the ability to see the beautiful cuisine and sample items from the menu. One of IL Massimo's most dramatic features is the twenty-two-foot-long fireplace anchoring the dining room. Whether you are seated in one of the restaurant's booths, at one of the tables, or at the bar, IL Massimo will surely impress.

"It has been a gratifying experience bringing IL Massimo to Legacy Place. We are grateful and honored to have been a part of this project, and we are excited to share the best of the Providence's famed Federal Hill experiences and Mediterranean flavors with the patrons of IL Massimo." – John Bell, Vice President of Design, JBD JGA Design & Architecture
