Summary

In 2016, leadership and management of Richmond County Country Club, the sole private Country Club on Staten Island, determined that both their main clubhouse and their golf house were in need of repair and improvements. With a changing demographic and increased emphasis on dining and other amenities, the club saw the need for space reallocation in both facilities. Moving forward to November of 2019, after an arduous process of options, iterations and budgeting exercises, the club’s membership approved by wide margin a comprehensive plan for improvements to both facilities. The golf house will see an expanded deck overlooking the course along with brand new men’s and women’s locker facilities. At the main house, members will soon be enjoying a new member bar and dining experience with a newly expanded kitchen and improved views of the water. Design is underway for Phase 1 with construction to begin in fall of 2020.
